After (3 weeks)

I got a VoxBox from Influenster about three weeks ago, containing a free sample of Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector to try out.  It has Soy and Vitamin A and you’re supposed to apply it twice a day before you put on your moisturizer.

At first I was actually a bit skeptical that I would see any difference, because for the first time in, oh, 24 years or so,  my skin is actually pretty good. I’ve had problems with oily skin and acne. I started using a moisturizer in April of this year that pretty much fixed every skin issue I have had since I was 12 in just about 3 weeks, but since this is about the Aveeno product, I'll post about it some other time. I actually ran out of my favorite moisturizer about 2 and a half weeks ago, so for the last 20+ days or so I’ve been using Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector with a similar oil-based moisturizer twice a day.

It’s supposed to tingle a little bit, but I don’t really feel anything when I apply it. The smell is pleasant, and there’s no sticky texture after application, which I appreciate. I haven’t been applying it near my eyes though I would love to get rid of these eyebags, I just don’t want to risk irritating the skin. It blends well: usually I apply moisturizer and a liquid foundation right after I put it on in the morning. Over three weeks I did see areas that had dark spots from acne that faded and became more even. I can't really spot them now. I don't have freckles so I don't know how that would work on them firsthand.

Now keep in mind, this is just one part of my skincare regimen, it’s taken me 20 years to put the pieces together correctly. If you’re interested, please let me know in the comments and I’ll try to post about it sometime soon. I have a cleanser, a toner, and an oil-based moisturizer that I’m using in conjunction with the tone corrector. I’m not claiming that this by itself will work miracles on your skin, but I think it’s effective on my skin with the regimen I’m using now, and I’m definitely going to continue using it. This is the only new product I’ve started using on my face in the last month or so, so I’m pretty confident that the results I’m seeing are just from the addition of this product.

If you have more questions about how it works, please leave a comment here or on my blog or leave one on Influenster.com if you’re signed up for that. I hope this helps you figure out whether Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector is something you’d like to try.
