Our Policies

Review Policy

If you would are an author, publisher or publicist with a major publishing house and would like to send us an ARC for an honest review, please email Alethea at frootjoos [at] gmail [dot] com. We accept print ARCs as well as digital ARCs.

Acceptance of an ARC does not guarantee an positive review and are either kept, raffled, or passed on to other bloggers. ARCs will never be sold. We will try to review ARCs in a timely manner but please note that we are human and have jobs and can't read all day (as much as we would like to).

Indie authors take note: we're also wary of self-published books; if we don't say yes after your query--don't take it personally. We have a lot to read already and are picky with self-published novels that have not been vetted by someone we know and whose reading tastes we agree with. Sorry!

Contest Policy

We pick winners via random.org or rafflecopter.com.

We will state where we will be able to ship the prize. It's usually US/Canada.

Email addresses/mailing addresses and all personal info you provide will be used only for prize notification and delivery. If you're under 13, please check with a responsible adult/parent/guardian before submitting your email address to an entry form.

If you accept/win an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) from us, you swear to abide by The Rule: ARCs may not be resold! It's yours, or if you must pass it on, please give it to a book blogger/educator/librarian who can give it a good home. :)

Good luck!

ARC/Affiliate disclaimer

For the most part, we purchase or borrow all of the books reviewed on this site. We do receive some ARCs from publishers or Netgalley and all of our reviews are our honest opinions. We will note in our reviews when a book has been received as an ARC.

We do use Amazon and other affiliate links. This means that, should you purchase an item after clicking on an affiliate link, we will receive a small commission from it. Any funds we receive from affiliate links go back into giveaways and prizes for the blog (mostly to pay for postage).
