How I found out about this book: I can't remember. Someone posted or tweeted about the Liar Cover Controversy, so of course I had to see what all the fuss was about.

Quickie: Seriously, this book should win awards. Great storytelling, brilliant writing, bizarre plot twists make it un-put-downable.

My review: Hi! Actually, I can't tell you any more, for fear I will let loose some detail the author doesn't want me to tell you about. Seriously, don't go looking for reviews. Just read it already.

I suppose I could always make something up.

So Micah is a gorgeous, brainy and super-powered vampire who finds out that she is a fallen angel and has to lie her way out of being discovered and turned into a lab specimen and/or religious idol. She is mysteriously drawn to an ugly but irresistibly charismatic hunchbacked boy who spends his free time ringing bells in church. They fall madly in love, but their forbidden romance may end the world.... (dun dun dun ominous music)

No, really, I won't tell you anything except that you need to read this book before anyone can spoil the ending (and the middle, and the beginning, and the three-quarters-in) for you.

Who should read this book: Swearing, check. Sex, check. Violence, check. I'd go with mid-to late- high school and up. Then again, I could be lying. You shouldn't take my word for it.
